This is the correct way to attach pins on the KaiRider for IROC category. I attached double sided tape on it and had the pin bent to adjust the place of a balloon. Your student will get 4 pins and need to attach the pin using elastic tape or glue gun and so on to burst the balloon.
This is an example to show you that this way is not correct to attach the pin.
As you can see, the surface where the pins are attached is soldered. So it may occur "short-circuit " between the soldered point and pins. The student should be very careful.
